1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Point of Feed ("the App"), developed and operated by Llaps Digital ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Point of Feed is designed with a privacy-first approach, storing your data locally on your device whenever possible. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• News feed preferences and selected sources

• Saved and favorited articles

• Custom AI personas and their configurations

• App settings and preferences

• LLM provider API keys

2.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

When you use certain features of the App, third-party services may collect information as described below:

Google AdMob: When ads are displayed, Google may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data for ad personalization and analytics. LLM API Providers: When you generate AI commentary, article text is sent to your chosen LLM provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or others). Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle this data. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of your selected provider. Note: If you use Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+), all processing occurs on-device and no data is transmitted externally.

Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. This includes device information, app usage patterns, crash reports, and aggregated analytics. This data helps us improve the App's performance and user experience. Firebase Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information. Mixpanel: We use Mixpanel to analyze user engagement and app performance. Mixpanel collects anonymized usage data and does not collect personally identifiable information. For more information, visit https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Important: Analytics services (Firebase and Mixpanel) are used purely for performance tracking, crash reporting, and improving the user experience. We, as Llaps Digital, do not and cannot access any personal data through these services. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your name, email address, or contact information

• Your location data

• Your browsing history outside the App

• Any personally identifiable information

• Your LLM provider API keys (these remain on your device)

• The content of your saved articles or custom personas

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the limited information available to us for the following purposes:

• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob

• To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the App

• To identify and fix technical issues and crashes

• To understand which features are most valuable to users

4. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• With Google AdMob for advertising purposes, as described above

• With Firebase and Mixpanel for analytics, as described above

• With LLM providers when you generate AI commentary (the article text you choose to analyze)

• If required by law, court order, or governmental authority

• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The App aggregates content from third-party RSS news feeds. When you tap to read a full article, you will be directed to the original publisher's website, which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.

Each LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, etc.) operates under its own privacy policy. When you use their services through our App, your use is also governed by their respective terms.

6. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, Apple's secure storage system

• All data stored locally uses iOS native security features

• Communications with LLM providers use encrypted HTTPS connections

• We do not maintain servers that store your personal data

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

7.1 General Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your local data by uninstalling the App

• Opt out of personalized advertising in your iOS device settings

• Choose not to use LLM features that transmit data to third parties

• Use Apple Intelligence for fully on-device AI processing (iOS 26+)

• Remove ads with a one-time purchase

7.2 European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to Access: Request information about data processing

• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data

• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data

• Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of data processing

• Right to Data Portability: Request transfer of your data

• Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time

Legal Basis for Processing: We process data based on legitimate interests (improving our services), consent (when required for certain data collection), and contractual necessity (providing the App's functionality).

7.3 California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information

• Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of personal information

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Point of Feed is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.

As stated throughout this Privacy Policy, we do not collect, store, or have access to any personal information from any users, including children. All user data remains locally on the device. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child's use of the App, please contact us at co@llaps.digital.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

When you use LLM providers or view advertisements, data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. For EU users, we rely on standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards where required.

10. DATA RETENTION

• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App

• Analytics Data: Retained according to Firebase and Mixpanel's retention policies

• Advertising Data: Retained according to Google's policies

• LLM Interactions: Subject to each provider's data retention policies

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
